Passport Information

Passport’s advanced camera monitoring allows officers to focus on addressing violations rather than manually verifying compliant vehicles, while integration with handheld ticketing devices streamlines ticket issuance and prevents appeals. Passports robust software solution simplifies identification of various infractions such as time-limit, permit, or scofflaw violations.

Prior To Setup

Before netPark can set up the integration with Passport, you will need to work with Passport to complete the setup on their end.

netPark will first need to enable the integration and activate advanced webhooks for it to function properly. Once enabled, netPark will require the following information from Passport before starting the setup:

  • Operator ID
    • This will be needed for each sublocation.
  • Default Passport Permission ID (in case a permission ID isn’t provided)
    • Passport should provide a Passport Permission ID for each parking zone in netPark.

Once this completed netPark will run a batch script that sends active customers vehicle data to Passport.

Initial Setup

Once the initial setup is complete, you will need to configure the parking zones. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to netPark and go to Maintenance → Parking Zones.
  2. Select the parking zone you want to configure.
    • Enter the Passport Permission ID that corresponds to this parking zone.
    • Click Save to confirm the changes.
  3. If you are using rate groups for recurring charges:
    • Ensure the parking zone is assigned to the corresponding rate group.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for each parking zone and rate group combination.

Configuration

Recommended

The integration between Passport and netPark allows for recurring accounts to be tracked inside of Passports software. For the integration to work properly each customer must have a license plate, and state set. It is recommended to require both when creating accounts.

Updating Passport Settings

If you need to update the default Passport ID, follow these steps:

  1. Open Maintenance – Go to the Access & Integrations section.
  2. On the right side, click “VIEW WEBHOOKS.”
  3. Find the webhook that includes “passportinc.com” in the listing, and click the pencil icon on the right side to edit it.
  4. In the next menu, locate the listing with the type “Recurring.” There should only be one.
  5. Click the blue pencil icon again to open the “Viewing & Modifying Webhooks” form.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the form to find the section labeled “Body Data Setup.”
    • Click the blue pencil icon next to this setting to update it.
    • After making changes, click the same button (now showing a save icon) to confirm the update.
  7. Once you’re done editing, be sure to click “Save Edited Webhook” at the bottom of the form.
