Setting up Parking Zones for Customer Accounts

Parking Zones are a great way to differentiate your customer accounts and make sure they enter their correct areas of parking. 

  1. To set up the Parking Zone, go into the Accounts section of netPark and select the customer that you want to add a Parking Zone to.

  2. Then select the Rates & Discounts tab. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on + Add Parking Zone. Make sure the Parking Zone is set up in advance. To learn how to create a parking zone, click here
  3.  Select the parking zone and then any other values that are necessary. 
  4. When completed, click the Blue Check Box and save the customer.

How Parking Zones work with Customer Accounts

  • If a location has self-park devices these parking zones can lock down the self-park devices and only allow customers with that parking zone into that location. This is done by going into the Self-Park screen of netPark, selecting the entry or exit device with the blue cog and in the parking zone value, select the desired Parking Zone. If done on an entry device, this will only allow customers with a ticket, reservation or customer account that is associated to that Parking Zone into the lot. If done on an exit device, this will only allow customers who have a ticket, reservation or customer account associated to that Parking Zone to leave the lot. 
  • Parking Zones, when used with customer accounts, can make running reports much easier. Certain reports will allow you to narrow the search down by the parking zone.
  • Parking Zones can be used to set up recurring for customers. This is another way to make sure that when setting up recurring there are less chances of a mistake being made. To set up the pricing for a parking zone, click here.
